Deer Park Flooring, One Small Crew From Start to Finish
We install hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, tile, laminate, carpet and stair flooring in homes around Deer Park, Pasadena and La Porte. The people who measure your rooms are the people who lay your floor, so nothing you told us gets lost between visits.
- Same crew every day
- Written line-item estimates
- Furniture moved and protected
- Cleanup before we leave

Why a Small Crew Makes a Difference
Most flooring problems start with a handoff: a measurer who never talks to the installer, or a different crew showing up on day two. We keep the job with the same few people so you always know who is in your home and what they already know about it.
- You meet your installers first
- The person who walks your rooms and checks the subfloor is part of the crew that does the work. Your questions about transitions, door heights or where the seams fall get answered by someone who will be holding the tools.
- Nothing gets lost in a handoff
- Small details matter on install day, like which closet you want left for last or the dog that needs the back door closed. Because the same people come back each day, you only have to say it once.
- We check what is underneath
- Before we quote, we look at the subfloor for dips, moisture and loose spots. If something needs fixing first, we show you what we found and explain why, so you are not surprised halfway through the job.
- Straight answers on materials
- If a cheaper product will hold up fine in your guest room, we will say so. If a material is a poor fit for a bathroom or a slab that runs damp, we will tell you that too, before you spend money on it.
- Your home treated with care
- We move furniture, cover walkways, and keep dust and cut-offs contained. At the end of each day the work area is swept, and on the last day we haul away the old flooring and packaging.
Flooring We Install in Your Home
We put in hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl plank and luxury vinyl tile, tile flooring, laminate flooring, carpet installation, carpet tile, vinyl composition tile and stair flooring. Each one behaves differently once it is down, so we start by asking how you use the room: kids and pets, a busy kitchen, a quiet bedroom. From there we help you narrow the choices to two or four that fit your budget and your subfloor, and explain what each one needs underneath to last.

Hardwood Flooring
Solid and engineered hardwood installed by one small crew, with moisture testing, subfloor prep and a 1-year workmanship warranty on the installation.
Luxury Vinyl Plank
Water-resistant luxury vinyl plank fitted over a properly checked and leveled subfloor, with the same people handling your floor from first measure to last piece of trim.
Tile Flooring
Porcelain and ceramic tile for kitchens, baths and entries, set on a properly prepped slab by the same small crew from demo to grout.
Laminate Flooring
Wood-look laminate laid over a properly prepped, leveled floor, with trim, transitions and cleanup handled by the same people who started the job.
Carpet Installation
Wall-to-wall carpet with a new pad, a planned seam layout and a power stretch, installed by the same few people who measured your rooms.
Carpet Tile
Soft, practical carpet squares for playrooms, offices and bedrooms, with spare tiles left behind so one stain never means a whole new floor.
Luxury Vinyl Tile
Stone and ceramic looks in a water-resistant vinyl tile, laid over a properly flattened floor by the same small crew from the first day to the last.
Vinyl Composition Tile
Tough, budget-friendly VCT for laundry rooms, garages, workshops and playrooms, laid on a properly prepped slab and finished before we leave.
Stair Flooring
New treads, risers and nosing for your staircase, measured one step at a time and matched to the floors upstairs and down.
How Your Flooring Project Runs
Here is what to expect from the first phone call to the day you put your furniture back.
- 1
A phone call about your rooms
Tell us which rooms you are thinking about, what is down now and what is bothering you about it. We will talk through a few material options and set a time to come out.
- 2
Measuring and subfloor check
We measure each room, check the subfloor for level and moisture, and look at door clearances and transitions. You get a written estimate and a clear idea of how many days the work will take.
- 3
Install days with the same crew
We arrive when we said we would, protect your walkways and move furniture out of the work area. The same people return each day until the floor is down, trimmed and finished.
- 4
Walkthrough and cleanup
Before we leave, we walk the floor with you and look at seams, edges and transitions together. Old flooring and scraps go with us, and we put furniture back where you want it.

What Shapes the Cost of a New Floor
Two rooms of the same size can price very differently. The material is only part of it; what is under your current floor and how the space is laid out often matter just as much. Here is what we look at when we put your estimate together.
After we see the rooms, we give you a written estimate broken out line by line, so you can see exactly what the material, prep and labor each cover. If we find something unexpected once the old floor is up, we stop and show you before doing any extra work.
- Square footage and layout
- More area means more material and labor, but layout counts too. Hallways, closets, angled walls and lots of doorways mean more cuts and more waste than one open rectangle.
- The material you choose
- Solid hardwood, porcelain tile, luxury vinyl, laminate and carpet all differ in product cost and in how long they take to install. Tile, for example, needs setting time and grouting that click-lock plank does not.
- Removing the old floor
- Pulling up carpet and pad is quick. Removing glued-down vinyl or old ceramic tile set in mortar takes far longer and creates more debris to haul away.
- Subfloor condition
- Many homes in the area sit on concrete slabs, and slabs often have high spots, low spots or moisture coming through. Leveling, grinding or adding a moisture barrier is extra work, but skipping it is what causes hollow spots and failed floors later.
- Stairs and transitions
- Stairs are measured and cut tread by tread, so they take more time than flat floor. Thresholds between rooms and different materials also add trim pieces and labor.
- Moving furniture and appliances
- Clearing a bedroom is simple. Disconnecting and moving a refrigerator, or working around built-ins, adds time we account for up front.
Questions We Hear Often
Something not covered here? (346) 639-4019
Which flooring holds up best to humidity and spills?
Luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile and porcelain tile handle moisture well and are good picks for kitchens, bathrooms and laundry rooms. Laminate has improved, but most products still do not like standing water. Solid hardwood can move with humidity changes, so we check moisture and recommend where it makes sense in your home.
Can you install new flooring over what I already have?
Sometimes. Luxury vinyl or laminate can go over a flat floor that is still firmly stuck down in some cases, which saves removal time. But carpet always comes up, and anything loose, cracked or uneven should be removed so the new floor does not inherit those problems. We will tell you honestly which situation you are in after we look.
How long will my home be torn up?
It depends on the material and the number of rooms. Click-lock vinyl or laminate in a few rooms often takes a day or two, while tile takes longer because of setting and grout time. We give you an expected schedule with your estimate and keep the same crew on it so the days do not stretch out.
Do I need to move my own furniture?
No. We move furniture out of the work area and put it back when we finish. We do ask that you clear out small items, breakables and anything inside cabinets or dressers before we arrive.
What if you find damage under my old floor?
We stop and show you what we found, explain what it means and what fixing it involves, and give you the added cost before we go further. Common finds are soft plywood near a toilet or dishwasher, or a low spot in a slab that needs leveling. You decide how to proceed.
Do you offer a warranty on your work?
Yes. We provide a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. If something related to how we installed your floor comes up in that time, call us and we will come take a look.
How do I get a quote?
Call us and tell us about your rooms and what you have in mind. We will set a time to come measure and check the subfloor, then give you a written estimate broken out line by line. Everything is handled by phone and in person at your home.

About Flooring Deer Park
We are a small flooring company, and we have chosen to stay that way. Keeping our crew small means the people you meet on the first visit are the same people who finish the job, and that makes it far easier to do careful work in someone's home.
Our days are spent in living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and stairwells, and we know how much it disrupts a household to have rooms torn up. So we plan the work around you: which rooms go first, where your furniture can sit, and how you will get through the house while we work. If you want to know more about how we operate, our About page has the details.
